Registration and Liability Waiver
By registering for a course, the Participant confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to Wicked Safety Training’s terms and conditions. The Participant acknowledges and assumes all risks associated with the training. The Organization, including its instructors, agents, and employees, is not liable for any personal injury or property damage arising from participation, except as required by law. This waiver is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refund Policy (CPR Classes Only)
Refund Policy Overview (First Aid / CPR / BLS Courses)
To maintain fairness and transparency, all refund requests must follow these guidelines:
- Processing Fee – A non-refundable processing fee applies to all refunds. This fee covers credit card transaction costs and certifying body fees.
- Refund Eligibility – All course registrations are non-refundable. However, if you need to change your course, then there is a way $45 transfer/re-registration fee.
- Emergency/Compassionate Exceptions – In documented emergency situations, Wicked Safety Training management may approve exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Participants may request a refund by submitting a written email that includes the reason for cancellation. If approved, the refund will be processed within ten (10) business days using the original payment method.
- Expedited Processing – Certificates can be processed within 24 hours for an additional fee. To request expedited processing, speak directly with your classroom instructor. Requests cannot be made after the course has ended.
Course Cancellations by Wicked Safety Training
In the event that a course is canceled, Wicked Safety Training will notify all registered participants by 7:00 p.m. the night before the scheduled session.
- There is no fee to reschedule a canceled course.
- Participants who choose not to reschedule may request a refund, which will be issued, minus a 15% processing fee.
- Rescheduling must be completed within 30 days of cancellation notification. After this period, a $45 rescheduling fee will apply.
- Once the student is enrolled in a new class, they must adhere to the rescheduling and refund policies.
Attendance Policy
To ensure a smooth learning experience, participants must adhere to the following attendance requirements:
- Arrival Time – Participants must arrive at least 10 minutes before the course begins.
- Grace Period – Blended courses allow a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals.
- Late Entry – Instructor-led courses permit late entry only until the first video session starts.
- Late Arrivals – Participants who arrive beyond the allowed grace period will be denied entry and must pay a $45 rescheduling fee to enroll in a future session.
- No-Call-No-Show – Students to fail to attend the class are not entitled to a refund. To reschedule, students are required to pay the full course fee. Any add-ons purchased will transfer to the new course.
Instructors reserve the right to refuse/allow entry to a course for late arrival on a case-by-case basis. If the instructor feels they have progressed to a point that the student could not be quickly brought up to speed, they can deny entry.
Rescheduling a Course
To reschedule a course, please contact Wicked Safety Training via phone and email. A staff member will be available to assist you with the process. Kindly note that there is a $45 fee for transferring or rescheduling a course. If you need to reschedule within 24 hours of the course start time, you will be required to pay the full course fee again.
Blended Learning (Online Course) Policy
Participants enrolled in a blended learning course must complete the online portion before attending the in-person session.
- Course links are provided at the time of registration and included in the confirmation email.
- Failure to complete the online coursework prior to the in-person session will result in denied entry to the class.
- Participants required to re-register due to incomplete coursework will be subject to a $45 re-registration fee.
- A stable internet connection and a compatible device are required to successfully complete the online portion.
All technical issues must be brought to the attention of The American Red Cross Technical support team by either emailing[email protected] or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or 1-800-733-2767.
English as a Second Language (ESL) & Accessibility Accommodations
All courses are conducted in English, but participants may bring a translator to assist during training and the final exam.
- Reasonable accommodations for disabilities (e.g., hearing or learning impairments) are available upon request.
- To arrange accommodations, please contact our office in advance.
Re-Examination Policy
Instructor-led Basic Life Support (BLS) courses require a written exam.
- Participants who do not pass may retake an alternate version at our Training Center, subject to the instructor’s discretion.
- Retests are typically scheduled on a separate day.
- Participants must contact the office within 10 days of their original exam date to schedule a retest, or they will have to take the course again at full price.
All written exams must be completed in person, in accordance with American Red Cross policy.
Certifications
Completion certificates from the American Heart Association (AHA), Health and Safety Institute (HSI), and American Red Cross (ARC)are issued electronically.
- Participants can view, print, or email their certificates online.
- Standard processing takes 7–10 business days.
- If a certificate has not been received after 10 business days, it can be retrieved by calling/emailing our office or via:
- AHA: AHA E-Cards
- ARC: ARC Digital Certificate
For those requiring a physical certification card, printed cards are mailed within 7 days via standard USPS.
- Expedited processing (within 24 hours) is available for an additional fee. To request expedited processing, please contact our office at [email/phone].
Sickness Policy
Wicked Safety Training follows health and safety guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Massachusetts state policies, and recommendations from the American Heart Association (AHA) and American Red Cross (ARC).
- Participants diagnosed with a communicable illness should contact our office as soon as possible for assistance.
- Depending on the circumstances, participants may be eligible for rescheduling options or other accommodations.
- This policy is subject to change based on updated health guidelines from relevant authorities.
Outdoor Course Preparation
Participants attending outdoor courses should prepare for varying weather conditions:
- Bring warm clothing, extra towels, and appropriate swimwear.
- Wetsuits are permitted for outdoor classes but not allowed in indoor facilities.
Weather-Related Cancellations
Classes will only be canceled for safety reasons, such as thunder, lightning, or extreme weather conditions.
- If a course is canceled, it will be rescheduled for the next available date.
- Participants will be notified of cancellations via email, phone, or other method.
- If rescheduling is not possible, participants may be eligible for alternative arrangements at the discretion of Wicked Safety Training.
Aquatic Class Policy (Lifeguarding/WSI)
Lifeguarding Review Course Eligibility
To enroll in the Lifeguarding Review Course, participants must hold a valid American Red Cross (ARC) lifeguarding certification.
- Certifications from other organizations (e.g., YMCA, Ellis & Associates, or Starguard) are not accepted, in accordance with ARC policy.
Re-Examination Policy (Aquatic Courses)
Aquatic courses are held at partner facilities. Re-examination policies vary by course:
- Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Courses – WSI courses include a written exam with only one version. Retesting is not permitted.
- Blended Lifeguarding Courses – Participants must pass a written exam. Retesting cannot occur on the same day. Those who do not pass must schedule a retest at the Wicked Safety Training office within 10 days. If they fail to retest within that window, they must retake the full course to earn certification.
Refund Policy for Aquatic Courses
- Cancellations are allowed up to one (1) week before the course begins.
- Participants who cancel a Lifeguarding or WSI course more than one week in advance will receive a 40% refund.
- No refunds will be issued if a participant:
- Cancels within one week of the course start date.
- Fails to complete the online portion before the in-person session.
- Does not pass the course or meet certification requirements.
